Random Act of Kindness Day in my Facebook group every month

Every month I have a Random Act of Kindness Day in my Fb group, where members can offer some of their knowledge nuggets and ask for help if they need any help.

Members can prerecord a video or go live and help fellow members. So they can do anything from free live coaching or help or giving advice, tips, training, etc.

It’s a free-to-attend and free-to-contribute monthly event because we all need help and can share our brilliance. And let’s be honest; most people don’t have the audience to share it with, and I’m happy to share mine with you.

And perhaps the most significant thing is that this is not promotional stuff, so do NOT plug your lead magnet or offer. No one will pitch you, and there’s no secret, underlying agenda pushing you to buy the stuff you don’t need.

I guess you want the deets

We do this Kindness day every 28^th of every month, and you can participate in this every single month.

You have two options; upload a 5 – 15 minutes prerecorded video onto the group on the 28^th of the month before 8pm UK time, and message me on Facebook that you’ve done it.

This is necessary if you don’t have preapproved status. The Admin Assist official Facebook tool will remove the video, and I won’t even see it in the posts waiting for approval.

If you’re preapproved, you don’t need to message me.

Your second option is to run a 5 – 15 minutes live, but this is only available for preapproved members. This is due to different time zones, as the Admin Assist would remove the video, so I’d need to approve it in real-time, which can be tricky.

If you want to go live, it needs to be scheduled so there are no overlaps in the videos.

How can I be preapproved?

There are two ways to be preapproved. The first is to post in the group regularly, following the rules, so the admin team can see you know the rules, and we can trust you.

If you do this, you’ll be pre-approved and can post multiple times a day, following the rules (no promo, you can build relationships, ask questions, and do market research -not thinly veiled promo).

The second way is to apply to be an OFE VIP member, where you can promote your business twice a week, follow the rules, and post unlimited posts. There are more benefits to this, but this email is not about this.

In both scenarios, you can do a live in the group for the Random Act of Kindness Day, and you don’t need to message me when you wish to publish your video or wish to go live.

Why is the content for only 5 - 15 minutes?

Because 5 minutes gives just enough information that helps people get to know YOU, if it’s shorter, they’d maximum just remember the topic or the tips but you.

And 15 minutes is the time limit where most people drop off.

Do I need to edit, transcribe and make my video nice?

No, you don’t. This is a low-key thing. It’s called Random Act of Kindness Day. You just show up and help. No editing, nothing fancy.

Really, don’t sweat it. It’s about showing you, with your knowledge-sparkles and idiosyncrasies.

Should I create an event for it in the group?

Definitely! It’s irrelevant that you do a live or a prerecorded video; people should know about it. The more you talk about it, the more people will know about it.

What's happening with that mini training after the day?

I add them to the guides, so it’s a kind of permanent promotion of your knowledge in the group. And there are thousands of entrepreneurs who check out the guides every single day.

So until you’re a group member, your training will stay there.

How could I benefit from it?

Well, apart from you can showcase your knowledge for free in front of my audience, you can (really, you should) encourage conversation in the video and in the posts you write about the training.

Apart from good Karma and being part of a helping and supporting community that has your back, the point of this is to showcase your brilliance. Or to listen to people and learn from them.

Many of you are not great at marketing (no offence), but you’re great at what you do. So how can you show people that you CAN help them? How can you make them understand what you’re about? The things you can help with and how you can solve their issues.

Simply if you show them.

Because you’re good at what you do, you’re best at it when you perform the work.

But how could you show people this when they immediately think you’re going to pitch them something? You know, we all get those pitches…

Easy.

You can do this in an environment where people know you WILL NOT pitch. When people know it’s safe to ask without 82,000 people sliding into their DMs to pitch their offers to them.

And during the random act of kindness day, no one gets pitched on their questions. Of course, if they’re interested in taking it further, wohooo, you might just have a sale!

So this is an extra opportunity every month to do something that can help us know you better.

To understand your offer and build a stronger relationship.

The thing is, what goes around comes around. You only can build relationships if you put the work in.

If you’re visible and contribute. Why wouldn’t you show your brilliance by helping people? They might become your clients after all.

We all can refer, collaborate and work with each other if we know each other and each other’s capabilities.

Because if I want to refer you, I need to make sure that you’re truly good at what you do as I put my reputation on the line for you. And everyone feels this way.

And no, this is not about making you work for free. And it’s not about abusing the giver with 872 questions that clearly would require a 1:1 session, don’t be that person…

Well, that would be sneaky. And as this is not promotional stuff, do NOT plug your lead magnet or offer. If anyone catches you, unfortunately, you’ll be booted and blocked from the group and unable to participate in anything we organise.
