Myth; to enjoy the financial freedom, you need to ask for a minimum of £/$10k for your offer.

This is so rubbish and couldn’t be further from the truth. Money is just one of the elements of your offer.

If you’re one of the entrepreneurs who wish to make an excellent living, travel to Disneyland with your family every year, work reasonable hours, help your spouse stay at home/retire them, or have a part-time job, you do not need offers in 10ks hight.

Let’s be honest for a sec. So many of us are not about being uber-wealthy. I don’t want to be uber-wealthy because that doesn’t motivate me, and I know suddenly I’d have lots of fake friends.

Also, there’s a big difference between your perception of being uber-wealthy and mine; it most likely doesn’t match.

Anyway, I want to live abundantly, that’s not a question, but money is not everything.

You see everywhere the 10k-100k months’ promises’ from coaches all over social media, and honestly, it’s tiring. *Cough and the net profit is the thing that matter anyway…

Your success is not measured by someone who once said 10k months is the minimum for a business owner; otherwise, they just get by and completely broke.

You might bloody don’t want that label. Or you might make much-much more but still ‘feel’ broke and ‘not enough’.

The issue is not that your offer ‘needs’ to be at 10k to get to the stage you wish to be financially, which might be just 5k.

The real problem can be your offer structure.

Just for simplicity, I’ll stay with the infamous 10k month everyone is supposed to hit.

Let’s say your 1:1 1-hour offer is 500 (in whatever currency) for a month. To get to 10k, you need to sell 20 of those every month. This is not impossible; to be able to do it, you need to be reasonably good at marketing.

If you do this, the amount of client work will burn you out in no time because it’s significantly more than just the ‘fix’ 20 hours of client work. So to get the 10k months with this pricing, you’d need to work around 60 hours a week. Not ideal.

You want to make your prices available to people and help them, and you think this is the price point they could afford; hence we’re not changing it now to demonstrate how it could work.

I can’t really hide it, but most of the time, any price point that comes from you is just GUESSING about what they COULD afford, as this is YOUR idea if you haven’t done comprehensive market research beforehand.

Let’s say you increase the value of your offer by streamlining it and cutting out the fluff. Or add something that usually would take you some time to deliver, but you can ‘templatise’ it and make it more appealing to your clients.

Now you can either increase the price or decrease your time with them. Let’s do the latter.

I actually did this with my offers. For example, everyone I start to work with goes through my Outstanding Gameplan programme, a 2,5 hours online session that helps service-based businesses with a max of 3 decision-makers to strengthen their uniqueness and leverage buyer psychology to increase their profit. Basically, making them incomparable.

This is an extremely condensed and potent version of my previous 1 month’s programme.

But get back to you.

You record a few videos or create some templates as the extra bits. You change the session length from 1 hour to 30 minutes and provide them with the additional resources you created.

And because you want to make sure they won’t lose anything by shortening the time of sessions, create ‘weekly office hours’, where you set aside 1 hour where they can message you to ask questions (if they have).

So now you’re halved the ‘fix’ client work time, which is not necessarily bad – clients want results quickly. They don’t care if you solve their issues in 5 minutes or an hour. They just want the result, and the quicker, the better.

You didn’t change too much, you just implemented a slight change in the offer structure, and you immediately saved some time for yourself and earned the same amount of money.

This is still not freedom, but you’re already better off. Of course, there are so many options to help you make more profit and work fewer hours, so you can go on holiday without the panic that you need to start from scratch everything once you’re back.

The point of optimising your business model and offer structure is to be able to do this. And you still can sell lower-priced offers so that you wouldn’t lose your audience.

It’s about optimisation. Sure, raising your price just from 500 to 750 would make a huge difference, but it’s not ‘just’ about pricing.

With that move, though, your weekly ‘fix’ client hours could drop down to about 7 hours from the original 20 hours or from the adjusted 10 hours (plus, don’t forget the tons of admin work that every session requires), and you’d still make 10k.

Imagine if you just tweak a few bits in your offering or delivery, perhaps adjusting your prices and being able to drop 50% of the work you do without financial repercussion.

You could achieve this without working more, spending more time or money on marketing.

And this is one of the things I help my clients in the Outstanding Gameplan.
