The clock is ticking - how to make the most of your time

Time is our most precious resource because it’s the one thing we truly can’t make more of. Here is a way I add more pockets of time to my day, making the most of the fringe hours!

I optimised my business model

This is actually the easiest way to have more time in your business but at the same time the one that most people try to avoid when it’s about changing it. Also, this is where most people think the only way to optimise their business model is to go for group coaching or courses or something hybrid thing. But it’s not true.

Let me tell you a story.

I needed to find ways to shorten my working hours and be MUCH more productive because I had some health issues. Tbh, at the time of writing this for you, those issues are still not fully solved but I’m cared for.

I didn’t really have a choice or say in it because some days I couldn’t even get out of bed I had so much pain. I ‘made those days’ by taking 4 – 8 painkillers just to be able to cope with it. And I’m an ex-athlete, I handle pain well (don’t like it, but handle it well).

I tried really hard to optimise everything and work in a way that suits me best. I wanted to do things but in the end, my body in one way or another told me to effoff and relax. And that’s never been easy for me.

But as I had no choice and I’m not stupid and after my body told me multiple times, louder and louder that I need to change, I did.
I held myself back for a long time because of this fear. I feared that I won’t be able to deliver the service to the high standards I want to represent if I were in pain.

I avoided taking on a certain number of clients because I didn’t trust my body. I limited myself and it obviously ducked up my brain.
I did work, but rather tried to limit my 1:1 client interactions and extended my courses and made adjustments to combined coaching/mentoring and consulting.

I recorded educational and step-by-step videos and created the material when I was feeling fine and gave those to clients instead of me going through with them. And after they accessed the material we had our shortened sessions.

You see, even when my business wasn’t optimised fully I made the wise decision to shorten the time of the sessions as it did not have a negative effect on client results. It worked, but I knew I could do better than that.

I adjusted my business model to give me more freedom without an income drop, what’s more with higher income.

I distilled my 1-month programme to be able to deliver the same results in 2,5 hours. Yes, it’s possible. It takes some tweaking and a lot of understanding of why people buy and what outcome they really want.

So I got back a lot of time by changing my business model. It’s much easier to plan because my days are not scattered with client sessions all over the place. They can’t book into my calendar for sessions, literally, everything is streamlined. I mean they can, but only for certain sessions, not like before. Everything is very systematic and simple.
