You just want to eliminate the dreaded objection handling when selling your offer. I get it; it can be pretty nerve-wracking. You can also drastically reduce the number of objections that pop up in your prospect’s head before they even say it, even if you’re not a mind-reader, psychic or a manipulative salesperson.

Because guess what? We all have objections. That’s how our brain works. It is because our brain wants to only think about things it needs to. It learnt a lot during the years in your life, and it ignores, eliminates and generalises everything. To be precise, our sensory system (eyes, skin, ears, smell & taste) in each second from the 11 million bits can only process less than 50. Yep, you read that right.

So what can you do to make sure that your offer is not just not being ignored and cut out by your prospects’ brains but that they drop most if not all of their objections too? Let’s talk about it.

But if we all have objections how could we eliminate them?

That’s a common belief that objections are bad and I like to approach them differently. You experience objections for a wide range of reasons. I’ll give a few examples;

😟 you just couldn’t grab the attention of your prospect, and they’re dozing off
😟 they don’t understand how your offer could help them
😟 your offer sounds like any other offer your prospect already has seen thousands of times
😟 they don’t trust you
😟 they don’t trust it would work for them
😟 they don’t trust they’d do the work
😟 their mind is filled with something else, and you and your offer is not a high priority for them
😟 they feel pressurised by you
and there are many more reasons you’d have real and genuine objections during any sales conversation, whether online or offline, written or verbal.

OK, so there are many of objections your prospects can come up with (and trust me, they do) for multiple reasons, AND their mind also makes it difficult for you to sell. Great.Β 

You might have seen films about sales, like the Wolf of Wall Street, where high-pressure sales techinques are used and combined with manipulation, lies and stuff like that. You quite possibly tried to buy a car, and a secondhand car salesperson pushed you around. And without really realising it, you might associate sales with these behaviours, hence despise it.Β 

We all heard stories when someone went to buy a mobile phone and was kinda bullied into buying insurance and case and extra stuff with the phone, even though they didn’t want to, but the salesperson pushed them. When they went home with their new phone,Β  they immediately cancelled the insurance online. And they won’t go back to that store.

The real problem is not the insurance. The real problem is they didn’t get a satisfying reason to buy that insurance. What could that be? Offer them safety that even if they drop their phone (like they did hundreds of times previously) they don’t need to walk around with a cracked screen (embarassament, a possible feeling of not being trendy or broke etc). They could save money on repair or buy a new phone if there’s damage. It could increase their social status by paying for ‘an extra luxury’ for piece of mind. With the phone insurance, they’re more comfortable and don’t need to worry about it as if things happen; they’ll be covered.

And as you can see, all these things I just listed are actually part of the offer (the insurance policy). Or should I say it would be if it were explained well, without manipulation?

So the first thing is to have an offer detailed enough that gives reasons to overcome those objections the prospect has in their mind. You know, the conversation inside their head. You can do this by creating a list of all possible objections and creating content around it, and you sprinkle it all over the sales page and all your marketing material.

And the second thing is the delivery to ensure the brain doesn’t shut down. How can you do this? By differentiating yourself with an intriguing, straightforward and unique method. A method that perfectly explains what you do and how so prospective clients won’t need to jump through unnecessary hoops and loops just to get a sense of how you can help them.

Because no one wants to waste time on figuring out basic stuff, if anyone needs a service, they want to immediately understand if that would work for them without watching hours of webinars and training material.

But this is not everything; there’s actual science behind this. The brain works on three different levels, and the first reaction when you start to converse with anyone or when they discover your offer online or offline is always the reptilian brain.

The reptilian brain is all about fight or flight. If it doesn’t feel that your offer is ‘skippable’ because they couldn’t guess what it is about, or the way your method is explained is different from how they usually see how others solve their problem, they’ll pay attention to you.

Their limbic brain joins in, and all the emotions and feelings come up; this is where a well-put-together offer takes them from hell to heaven and gives valid reasons for what they can achieve at every step and why all those things are essential for them. Everything is about them and not about you or your offer.

With this move, you invite the logical brain, the neocortex, with its analytical approach. This is where all the facts matter, how much they can save and stuff like that.

And this brings us to this point; you need to pinpoint your uniqueness (this is what most people say to use as their USP, but that’s just a fragment of the whole picture). You need to pinpoint the uniqueness of your offer (that’s exactly in the method) and the uniqueness of your business (the overarching umbrella).

If you have these three combined, you will be outstanding. You will be different, and prospects will know exactly what they buy from you. And that, my friend, results in more and quicker sales.

And there’s an actual step-by-step process I use with my clients when we break down their offers in a way that influences an intelligent, sceptical and busy prospect to buy. I created this process based on many years of experience and tons of research. And it works because it helps them create a unique approach that gives enough information to make high-ticket sales significantly quicker and easier.
