I know you already know a lot about how to get clients and have a very specific idea of what I might type here.
 
You might even roll your eyes like “here we go, another clickbait stuff, never mind, I’ll still read it…” – and you hope this stuff lives up to the expectations.
 
Ok, let’s start and see if it does 😊

You already know your next client. Literally.

No, I’m not talking about intuitive stuff, I’m talking about facts. Like statistical hard data. You have a lot of connections, and you know a lot of people. If you’re in my group, the Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs Facebook group then you’re surrounded by thousands of entrepreneurs who might be in a dire need of your service/offer.
 
And when I say they need your service I mean it. On the other hand, they might don’t know they can get it for you or they need it.
 
But this is not controversial because for example if I’m thinking of hiring a life coach I won’t necessarily post/talk about it but if I read an interesting post about how a certain exercise/approach could help me I might be paying attention to you.
 
And if I like what I see, well yes, I might stalk you. Who we are kidding, I WILL stalk you?! And if I see and understand your approach, the way you can help me, the results I could get and the price (at least the range) I might reach out to you.
 
And if I can’t see/find anything or it’s not clear, well then you leave money on the table. And it’s amazing how many people ‘don’t give out’ the information that their prospective clients NEED to make a buying decision.
 
People don’t like to waste their time hopping on calls they know they’ll be sold to just to figure out if the provider actually can help them.
 
They just want to know what they’re buying.
 
And when I say “actually help them” I mean perhaps you really genuinely can help them because you know how to solve their issue. But that doesn’t mean that would work for them.
 
Let’s say you’re brilliant at Instagram and you’re helping clients to grow their insta and get clients on that platform. The prospective client needs clients but they can’t stand IG.
 
Can you solve their problem? Yes. Would that work for them? No, because if they don’t want to use that platform you can be the best but they still wouldn’t do it. I know if you’re helping people with Instagram you’d talk about it, I only picked this example to explain it.
 
People want things that they like, prefer and suit them and not just things that could solve their problems.
 
If I want a nice, firm, camera-ready bum I can go to the gym, exercise at home or go to a plastic surgeon to sort it out for me. All solutions are working but all of them deliver it differently.
 
So when we’re talking about buying decision is not just the end where they say “yup, I’m having that”. It’s a process and you need to handle your prospective clients as they’re smart, sceptical and busy.
 
You need to give them the information prior to having a convo with you (over the phone or in the dms or via emails, it doesn’t matter). If you do so, you’ll easily eradicate their objections and they arrive at the chat with you that they only want to see if you’re personally a fit for them. They already made the decision that your stuff is the stuff for them.
 
And because you know so many people if you’re talking about your offer clearly, they will understand what you have to offer. And they will stalk you. And they will read your posts. And they will check out your profile. They’ll listen to your podcast and read your blog.
 
The higher the price of your offer they spend more time on your stuff to really understand how your thing could help them. But don’t take this wrong. This does NOT mean that they’ll spend weeks or months reaching out to you. They can just binge and spend 30-60 minutes on your stuff to get to know you.
 
Literally, a single post can do this. I get multiple high-ticket leads (over £10k) messaging and asking me to work with them within 10 minutes of me posting a single post with zero paid ads.
 
And I can decide if they’re a good fit and want to work with them or not. Obviously, leads are not clients but pre-qualified leads are worth so much more than the rest.
 
So if you’re clear about your offer (meaning the outcome, the process, the price, the people it’s for, etc) you’re easily pre-qualify your leads even if you don’t use any funnels or complicated marketing methods. To be honest, the clearer you are the better quality leads you’re getting. Leads that actually want your stuff because they know what they’re getting into it.
 
And this is what you want.
 
And yes, before you ask me, they knew the price before reaching out to me. No, I didn’t know them before. Yes, there are people who pay for high-ticket services even on Facebook. Yes, it happens even if they were seeing my post the first time.

So what do you need to do?

👉 be very clear about your offer and highlight the uniqueness of you, your offer and your business – this is the thing people can see and be curious and understand the basics of your offer
 
👉 optimise your social media and clearly state what can people get if they work for you – you need to use the uniqueness you discovered, so people can see that you’re the real deal and the bees knees
 
👉 start to be visible to your existing audience. Ask questions in this group, on your profile and start to chat with people visibly in the comments (so more people can be familiar with your name)
 
👉 create a few posts that really explain the whats, whys and hows, so everything is crystal clear to your prospective clients – this is really important and you can use this as a kind of catalogue everywhere
 
Don’t overthink it, you don’t need to write hundreds of content pieces to sell your offer. You simply need to have content that gives value;
👉 explains how & why your stuff works and needed
 
👉 what mistakes people do if they don’t do the things you’re talking about
 
You don’t need to reach out to anyone if you don’t want to. Just work with your existing audience first publicly and once they know you and see you regularly they will buy from you.

This happens because of a bias, the familiarity heuristic bias

To streamline the decision-making process, we naturally create some parameters that help us to make the best decision we can base on the limited information available to us at the time.
 
The familiarity heuristic uses things you’re more accustomed to aid your decision making and help to choose from a wide range of options, meaning your competitors.
 
Because it’s something you’re familiar with, you consider it to be a safer option compared to choices that you’re less familiar with. Hence, you’re going to buy from/work with people you’re familiar with. And that’s why you want to be visible to your audience with a crystal clear offer, so they can buy from you.
 
So let me ask you a few questions.
