Something to think of… Nowadays so many people want to grow their groups but they don’t have any strategy behind it. How I did it?

I’m going to give you a bit of an overview of the things I did and the reasons behind quickly growing a profitable Facebook group without spending a penny on Facebook ads.

Let’s dive in!

So many people say they want to monetise their group, they want to build their tribes so they can sell to those people with ease and magically make a minimum of $40k every 21 days or so… Because this is what people post nowadays to lure you into something.

But of course, they suffer to achieve this. And they spend every awake hour on Facebook, trying to grow their group and spam everyone on every thread to join their group.

And their group is not growing, or at least not quickly enough.

They aren’t able to make sales from the group and they start to resist. They’re burnt out and pissed off.

If this sound familiar, full transparency, it’s not your fault. At least not fully.

There are a lot of big group admins who say things like this (you now, the join my tribe because I built this and make this amount of money and I’ll teach you to do the same). They make it look and sound like it’s a breeze.

You might didn’t even want to have a group, but they told you so (and the $40k every 21 days sounds very tempting), so you’re jumping and you dedicate every awake hour to your new(ish) way of getting leads.

I’d like to stop you right there.

Before you start to spend ages building your group, sit down and think through everything.

Let me tell you something…

Prior to my group, the Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs Facebook group, I have/had different groups, only for clients and members. This is my first ‘free’ group.

And at the time of typing this we’re 7 months old now with over 8,000 members. This is quite a good go, especially as this group is not a ‘promo’ group and I’m really selective about who I let in and regularly remove people who do not fit into the culture of this group.

Before the group, I mostly had my clients from my website, LinkedIn, referrals, collabs, networking and email marketing.

So why did I decide that start one?

Want to read more of these knowledge nuggets and keep in touch?

In the summer 2021 one Saturday, I decided to post one of my low-ticket offers to a group whilst laying in the bed. And surprisingly I made a sale that day just a few hours later.

So I did the same the next weekend and I had another sale.

And another. And it’s kinda become constant.

Again, full transparency, I’m not a newbie, I created huge marketing agencies’, small businesses’ and household brands’ content plans and stuff, I know what to post to get a sale. I have years of experience, I’m not here to make it look like it doesn’t require knowledge.

And I started to create more and more posts to sell my offering. Of course, I did, it worked 😂 And people put their hands up and wanted to buy my things. And I happily offered them the links to checkouts, and booking pages and gave them all the links publicly.

Why publicly? For 2 reasons, there are a lot of people who will not put their hands up to identify themselves but if there’s a link they go for it. The second reason is engagement and simplicity. If I send the link in the DMs to everyone it takes me ages and most likely the message ends up in the ‘other folder’, the message request or spam folder – as most of the people who wanted my stuff weren’t on my friends’ list.

And also, you get penalised if you message a lot of people who you don’t know. Basically, you put yourself into the Facebook jail.

So I started to experiment with the content I created and tweaked and tested everything constantly. I actually have a Trello board full of my best performing content.

But Facebook did not like that I sent people away from the platform to my website so it started to restrict me.

So I figured that I can actually ‘comment more’ if I send people to a group as they won’t leave the platform. Yes, this is true, you are able to comment more if you’re not sending traffic away from Facebook.

I didn’t create the group just yet. I started to check out other groups. What they do that I like. What things I don’t like. What kind of people do I want to surround myself with?

I spent increased time on the platform and studying how and what works and what doesn’t. I tested posts, formats, groups and everything.

And after playing for 2 months I opened the group. Yep, I invested 2 months into this, even though I know the platform very well and built pages with 100-200k followers within weeks and developed apps and games for Fb since 2010… (Think of similar stuff than Farmville, so you can imagine how far I was in this game 😂)

But from day one I had a strategy and phases of when and what I want with this group. And the main purpose is not to sell everyone here 😂 Far from it.

Yeah, I do have very-very regular sales from the group, even though I actually started to post a few offers of mine when we were around 4 months old. But even without me pushing any kind of sales, people reached/reaching out to me really-really regularly. Some days I have 20-50 messages, some days only 5 and occasionally zero.

Still, the main thing, my strategy with the Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs group involves collaboration as this is what I know as one of the BEST things to make sales.

Collaborations, networking and referrals bring the highest quality leads/clients. And this is how I get most of my clients. So my strategy is to combine all of these because this is a win-win for all of us involved.

Also, this way I’m not in a situation where I create a group with the sole purpose of selling them stuff they might don’t need. I genuinely don’t like the feel of that. It’s like having a notsosecret agenda…

So if you want a group and want that group to grow and be able to monetise it, you need to

👉 know what you want that group to provide you and your members

👉 plan how much time you can dedicate to it

👉 have a strategy to grow it

👉 have a strategy to engage inside the group

👉 have a strategy to ‘please’ your members

👉 have a content strategy outside of the group and inside of the group

👉 if you want to monetise it, have a strategy for it

It’s actually not that difficult, genuinely, you just need a marketing strategy that helps you bring in people, warm them up, and put them into your funnel. And you need a content strategy. This is what I was doing and it works.

Kinda that’s it. You just need to be clear about why you’re doing it, so you can create your strategy to make it happen.

If you’re tired of ‘attracting’ the wrong people and/or managing a group that doesn’t give a flying pig about your offer, it’s time to find the best ways to grow your audience/client base based on your existing results, resources and your personality. Sort out your content and bring in the clients you want to work with.

And if you want my help with it, keep reading because I tell you how we’ll do it.

How will we do this?

First, we start with the Outstanding Gameplan where we’ll look at your business, industry and your offer to understand why people buy from you and leverage buyer psychology to sign more clients. (I wrote a dissertation on the topic.) And we’ll find the unique essence of your offer that’ll put you above all similar offers to attract and impress your (prospective) clients.

And after that, we’ll do the math and your pricing to make sure your business can reach a very nice and comfortable high-profit margin revenue (a.k.a. your ambitious income goal), without working every hour under the sun. Yes, this means we’ll brainstorm ways to increase the value of your offer or reduce the time of delivery.

And if you’re a good fit and want to go further after the Outstanding Gameplan, you might grab one of the Profit Zone offers to progress further, which include the below steps and more.

We’ll find the best ways to grow your audience by checking on your existing results, resources & your personality. You can expect to work on your email marketing, social media & community-building activities.

We’ll put together a simple system & process that’ll help you increase your sales conversion & referral rate.

We’ll pinpoint your crystal clear & concise message & craft a few viral & engagement posts. You’ll write different posts following my proven method by leveraging buyer psychology to get the leads coming in. Then I review & critique your content.

We’ll optimise your sales process to increase your conversion rate, so you can enjoy better results with less work.

Together, we’ll create the simplest marketing plan on Earth for your business. And help you repurpose your content to be able to set and forget most of it.

By this point, your offer, your messaging, content & sales process basically lets people close themselves with very little effort on your side.

One of the versions of my Profit Zone method I used to help a client to go from making £9M in a year to over £20M in just 9 months. This method also helped me save 6 figures in a client’s marketing budget whilst increasing their business growth by 270%.

End result? You’ll be able to simplify your marketing, fine-tuning your marketing message and methodology so these won’t hold you back from rapid growth and peace in your business anymore.

No more working way too hard talking to the wrong people and presenting your offers in the wrong way.

Pretty simple, right? And very effective.

But this is not for everyone, so who's a good fit to work with me?

they want better quality leads and more clients but they don’t want the “busy work”, they want to focus on money-generating tasks and they need a clear method they can follow

their content doesn’t generate buzz and/or leads because it lacks the clarity and powerful, unambiguous positioning and messaging required to generate those leads

they already know their material is great but for some reason, they’re stuck under the frustrating income ceiling that they want to smash through now

they don’t want to change niche or your offer (tweaking is fine) because it works but they need to up their game

they’re confident in their ability to convert all their new leads into clients

Are you ready to scale your business to the next level?
