One of the things I see my clients struggling with when I first meet them is they need to be outstanding because most of the time they blend in the sea of the same offers.

And they need to simplify their marketing. Even if they have a reasonably decent revenue.

I know how much that sucks and how difficult it is to figure out alone why things don’t work the way they’re supposed to. I’ve seen solopreneurs, small companies and big established companies struggle with the same thing.

I’ve seen the confusing marketing messages and methodology that were holding them back from rapid growth and peace in their business.

They are relying on unsustainable marketing methods paired with a market/message mismatch. They are working way too hard talking to the wrong people and presenting their offers in the wrong way.

So many places when you look under the bonnet the first thing you see is a mess and lack of directions.

And they are struggling to increase their profit. They are struggling with sales and spend too much time marketing themselves.

And when I thought through there was a simple, 8-step solution I wondered why no one had implemented that stuff sooner!

So I want to tell you exactly how I solve this problem. For myself, for my clients… This is the proven system I use to get results.

Excited? ! Same. I’m so happy to be sharing this with you. 

Step 1 - check on your business model

You want to reach a very nice and comfortable high-profit margin revenue (a.k.a. your ambitious income goal). So it’s time to check if you’re the reason for not being able to increase your profit.

Perhaps you’re the bottleneck. Your business structure, delivery method and everything in-between.

Step 2 - get crystal clear about your audience

You want to grow and want to simplify your marketing. So it’s time to look into who are those people who spend the most money at your business and you enjoy working with them the most.

And let’s solve their issues and forget about the energy vampires and bad clients. You’re about to scale and you do this on your term with clients you actually want to work with. Right?

Step 3 - do market research

You need to do market research if you want to grow and want to make more profit. You need to know what your ideal clients want to be able to tweak things in a way that helps you bring in more money without doubling down on your working hours or spending a fortune on ads.

Plus this is a brilliant way to find out what they say, how they express themselves. I regularly do this and I pretty much word for word use their content in my marketing material to ‘speak their language’.

Step 4 - match your offers to the needs of your audience

Once you know your best clients and what they want you can tweak around to make sure you hit everything they really want in your offer. You basically create an offer that’ll be irresistible.

I know, the ‘irresistible offer’ sounds so used, but this is what you’ll create/adjust/tweak. Why irresistible?

Because it goes through all the things your ideal clients need before, after and during using your service/product. And solves all the problems around it.

Ok, not all, but the ones can cause them to vote not to buy your offer. So you’re playing a clever and very ethical game.

Step 5 - check on your uniqueness

You need to actually stand out. You need to find the uniqueness of you, your offer and your business. If I ask you what do you do, you should be able to tell me with a single sentence.

For example, this is what I do: “I help service providers (coaches and consultants are in this category) to increase their profit and communicate their uniqueness by leveraging buyer psychology.”

And now, let’s compare it to the previous example of a graphic designer; “I help female entrepreneurs with fabulous graphics to elevate their business.”

When you read my one-sentence do you know exactly what I do? No. But you know that I increase your profit, talk about uniqueness and buyer psychology. It sounds interesting and it’s highly likely to strikes some questions. I mentioned 3 things and of those 3 things 2 of them you need immediately (increased profit and uniqueness to stand out).

The third thing is showing you that I actually have something intellectual, scientific in my method. It suggests a method, not just “yeah, let’s run some ads and we can increase your revenue and I can say that I helped someone make 6 figures in a month and not mention that they spent 6 figures on ads too…”

How about if we a graphic designer’s one-sentence introduction sounds like this “I help female entrepreneurs with fabulous graphics to elevate their business.”?

Do you know what they do exactly? No. You know they do graphics they say are fabulous and will elevate your business. Your doubts kick in immediately with the “let me be the judge of those graphics” – they might don’t get the ‘fab’ rating from you…

You might don’t need a lot of graphics, you just need a logo. There’s nothing in their sentence that makes you want to talk to them. There’s nothing emotional or intellectual. It’s boring AF.

So what could the graphic designer say instead of blending in?

For example, they could say; “I help female entrepreneurs to elevate their business and highlight their personality by colour psychology powered graphic design”. Heck yeah, this sounds interesting!

Or they could say; “I help female entrepreneurs to elevate their business with luxurious personality-matched branding packages in 3 days or they pay nothing. How many people would want to work with them if they use this instead of the blend and weak original version?

These are just quick examples to show you a bit of uniqueness and its effect. As it does make sales much easier and quicker.

And this was only one part of the 3 parts uniqueness identifier you need to follow if you’re really want to be outstanding.

Step 6 - cystalise the messaging that matches everything

Since you know them, you know what they want and can deliver them the thing they covet, it’s time to put together your messaging and content.

You’ll cleverly use your mission and passion to support your offer.

And the good news is, you’ll only create content that aims to sell your offer. No more creating content for the sake of creating content.

Your aim is to increase your profit and not to be an Instagram celebrity who only does brand collabs.

Step 7 - check your pricing

You might need to adjust your pricing. And that can go both directions. I’m not saying to discount your services, I might suggest you add a mini offer to your product/service suite that could fill a hole and bring in some passive income for you.

Or you might need to increase your pricing radically to represent the service you provide. There are lots of things you can do and pricing is a very important part you need to visit from time to time.

You want to make sure anything you sell represent high value (real or perceived). Even if you’re selling something cheap. Especially if you’re selling something cheap because that can help you scale.

Step 8 - check the strategies and tactics you're using

Now you’re ready to go and start to market the s**t out of your offer. But this time you’ll do it in a sustainable way.

We’re not jumping into everything at once. You’ll pick the tactics and strategies now and you’ll stick to it. And you’ll ignore everything else.

I know you know that there are literally thousands of ways of generating leads and clients.

But the growth did not come in a way you expected… There’s always a reason why it didn’t happen. And all reasons are valid… Until they aren’t…

So let’s check the strategies and their ROI. How much time do you need to spend on those strategies? Which strategy brings the most clients in? Which has the highest ROI?

Simplify and get rid of those that don’t perform as well and double down on the ones that are bringing you the best results.

The aim is to increase your profit and not that you become an expert marketer/videographer/graphic designer/copywriter by doing busywork.

Of course, if you’re one of them that’s great, still, you won’t waste time on unnecessary things and tasks without positive ROI.

Oh yeah, hello productivity and conscious decisions!

Don’t forget to use the Pareto principle, 80% of your revenue/result/profit comes from 20% of the things you do. Meaning, you’ll need to eliminate tasks that just make you busy without bringing you results.

At first, that part might be painful, but you’ll thank me later.

In a nutshell that’s it.

Isn’t that just the bomb?! You can stop trying to build an empire on running sand by following the steps above. It’s really that easy.
